The Power of Love (Extra innocence Edition)

Gabrielle Aplin

Gabrielle Aplin completely fits with the genre that i'm trying to display with this magazine. A now established mainstream Acoustic-pop singer with Acoustic/Singer-Songwriter/Folk roots.

The front cover above expresses this perfectly. The shadow laying across her eyes and the simplistic dress sense portraying the simple acoustic genre. While the Pink bow symbolising the playfulness and innocence that the Pop genre aims for. While I'm planning a male model for my front cover, this is exactly what i'd like to portray in it.

Also, this magazine has chosen to become almost completely devoid of extra articles and features to place on the front cover. Leaving only: The image, The magazine title, basic information of the magazine and in very small writing, a select number of artists also featured in this magazine. With these names usually encompassing the whole front cover on some magazines. While perhaps not as extreme as this, I'd like to have a similar level of basicness in my magazine. While this goes against what I intended when I analyzed with the Florence and the Machine front cover, I would like to have something else perhaps in the Bottom left hand corner in addition to my main feature. However like this front cover, I'd like to only include one main picture.

Annoyingly, I had no idea that the magazine "Hunger" existed before today. This is one of my initial names for this project. So that's a small brainfail from me.
